Reasons

I was raised a Catholic, but stopped attending at the age of 11.

Later, when I was 17, a visiting American preacher by the name of Skip Ball came to the town where I lived, Frodsham in Cheshire, UK.

My sister, Jae, started to do some Bible Study with him, and soon became a “born-again Christian”. A close friend of mine, Mike Riepl, was also converted.

Jae invited Skip into our home, where I sat in on one of Skip’s meetings with several other young people.

Skip invited me along to a service at his home in Frodsham, saying that it would be very helpful to him to have a guitarist.  I agreed to go.

A couple of weeks later, at one of these meetings, a girl from my school stood up and gave her “testimony” - basically the story of her own conversion.  She talked particularly about how the beauty of the Earth around us led her to believe in a Creator God. I was moved by this and later became a Christian myself.
